Honda GXV Series OHV Commercial-grade Engine

Honda Masters® Series walk-behind mowers are powered by Honda's commercial-grade GXV140 overhead valve engine. This easy-starting, reliable, and quiet engine meets industrial specifications and complies with EPA and CARB emission levels. Cast iron cylinder sleeve, two-stage air filter, ball bearing supported crankshaft, electronic ignition and mechanical governor are some of the standards you'd expect in a commercial-grade engine and that's what you get with a Honda GXV Series engine. The 5.0 horsepower GXV140 is perfectly matched, with power in reserve, for the demanding mowing conditions that you may encounter.

Hydrostatic Transmission

Honda's exclusive Hydrostatic Transmission provides you with an infinite choice of ground speeds to match any mowing condition. This technology allows you can walk at the most comfortable pace for you and still get an excellent cut.

Honda QuadraCut System®

The twin-blade Honda QuadraCut System™ uses four cutting surfaces to cut grass into tiny pieces that quickly decompose and add nutrients to your lawn. This special design is only offered by Honda, and it produces finer clippings for:

Reinforced Steel Handles

The HRC mowers all feature heavy duty steel pipe handles and standard handle support to hold up to the demands of daily commercial use and are also ergonomically designed for your comfort.

Zone Start

When the mower is started, the blade turns with the engine. When the operator lets go of the mower handle the blade (engine) must stop within 3 seconds. The operator cannot leave the designated "Operator Zone" to restart the mower engine.
